FLASHBACK: To Yearning

I cannot begin to say how floored I am at the design team work on this month's emotion: Innocence.  I am sure you will agree once we are sharing some of their layouts.  If you don't want to wait, I urge you to run, don't walk, over to our DT Gallery.  I can't wait to see what they inspire in the rest of our community!

However, as I do on occasion, I wandered into our history and found September 2009.  It was Yearning back then, and I thought this layout was fantastic.  Not only did it grasp the picture of yearning for our childhood, I think it also expressed some of what we are exploring now...  innocence... in this case as it pertains to our childhood.  Check it out!

Flashback to Freedom

In July 2008, when Scrapbooking from the Inside Out was just starting out, they explored the topic of Freedom.  Today, I thought this was a great topic to revisit, especially with our current topic of Communication.  What is better than Freedom to Communicate?  I think that's truly what we're all about here at Inside Out... have complete freedom to communicate.  Where else can you go and feel so save to express all of the amazing emotions that swirl around inside of us?  I have found that the freedom to express myself... to explore my inner world... always starts HERE.

So.  I bounced back to our gallery from then, and found some amazing layouts by some people you may recognize... our founder, Rachel and Paige, our Special Projects Coordinator.

Free to Choose - Rachel Kaufman

I Am Who I Am - Paige Ramos

In addition, a couple layouts by Nancy Doren and Bjay Jaminal. members of our very first design team, expressing Freedom from their perspectives:

Express Yourself - Bjay Jaminal

That Black Cloud - Nancy Doren

Wow.  Just some very cool stories being communicated there, expressing freedom or lack of freedom.

That is what we're all about here.  Freedom and communication.  Do you feel free?  Do you feel free to communicate?  I know that in my every day life, I wear a mask... I hide and show only certain "faces" to certain people.  But here at Inside Out, I do feel a lot more free to express myself.

Please, join us.  We have so much going on over in our community with great supports and open hearts.  And lots, and lots, and lots of inspiration for all topics, including our galleries all the way back to from the day we were "born".  Come and be free...

Flashback!!!

Happy Saturday everyone!

It is time for the "time warp again!"

Since we are all talking about contentment this month I thought it would be great to hop back to December of 09 and revisit PEACE.

It is interesting the similar things that bring peace and contentment. Siobhan, Rita and Andrea all expressed themselves using peace, but there are strong ties to what also makes them content.

What things bring you contentment? For me, it is smiles from my girls. Laughter with friends. Texts in the morning just saying hi, thinking of you. Time when I work on an art project and it flows from the heart. Sun on my face. Sounds of the waves hitting my toes. Finding a new song that you think has been written for just how you feel.

Here is what brings Andrea peace:

For Rita.. it was the simple things like a great cup of Hot Chocolate:

Her favorite guys!!

But truly, it was her family!!!

For Siobhan she found peace in a setting:

And also within herself.

Hope you enjoyed this jump back in time!!!
See you soon!!!
