Winner of the Individuality Kit and a Sneak Peek of DREAM

Just a quick drop-in to announce the winner of the Individuality kit...Random.org picked #9...

Barb S said...
This year my word is FLOURISH and it has several meanings for me. But mostly because I am a grandmother who has decided that it is never too late to flourish in a new way. I would love to see a kit designed around that theme. Two other important words for me are FOCUS and BELIEVE, and I want to explore all three of these in my scrapbooking this year. Thanks for your encouragement and telling us about the creative process you go through in developing the kits!

Blog Hop WINNERS!

I hope you had as  much fun hopping around our Switch It Up Blog Hop as we did putting it together.  Weren't all the Reflection layouts simply fabulous?

I bet you're excited to find out if you won, huh?  Would you like me to tell you?

Why not recap what wonderful prizes we're sending to six lucky blog hoppers?  I think that would be fun, don't you?  The suspense is building... the suspense is building...

These are full paper pack prizes from Bo Bunny and Adorn-It!  Here's your review:

I have to admit, that last one- Bo Bunny's Midnight Frost - is my personal favorite.  Whomever gets that one in the mail better hide it or I might be visiting soon to "borrow" some scrappy goodies, specifically that line.    (I'm kidding.  Sort-of.  <grin>)

Alrighty then... thank you all for your wonderful comments and for visiting us on the hop and regularly, as well.  Without further ado, the (randomly selected) blog hop winners are:

ThriftyCrafter
Guiseppa
Laurie!
Connie M.
Tina Moore
Deanna Dark

Please email Rachel at rachinla [at] aol [dot] com with your shipping address so she can get these goodies off in the mail to you!

Congratulations and ENJOY!

I love the whole idea behind your blog. With all the beautiful LO's out there we can tend to try too hard at creating "masterpieces like the pros" and not truly capturing our thoughts, feelings, and memories. Each one of us is creative in our own unique way, and while the inspiration is wonderful, I need to remember to use it for that...inspiration, and not forget to put ME in there too! Thanks for that! And thanks for the chance to win! :)

Free gifts: Elizabeth Craft's Press-on Sticky Circles and Ritz Ultrafine Chartruse Glitter. I love these so much! Just stick on the circles, peel off the top layer, and you've got your sticky shape ready for glitter, flocking...so much more...

We'll be sharing more DT layouts in the next few days. Wanna see 'em now? Check it out here. You'll need to log in, but it is totally worth it! We just want to keep in touch with you and keep inspiring you...

PS - have you seen out industry-exclusive Inspiration Page? Music, Photos, Prompts, Quotes and more to get your creativity and heart flowing.

In the meantime, why not come join us online and play along with our monthly challenges? Here are the first 2 for May. You've got all month to play, and no kit is necessary to join in on the fun. These challenges are the perfect way to get into the idea of visual journaling - refecting the theme of your LO with design ideas. This is what I believe takes your pages and turns them into expressive works of art.

May Challenge #1, Anticipation Interrupted/Off the Edge

Interest, Excitement and Joy: Psychologists sometimes refer to a cycle of interest, excitement and joy that we might interrupt because of past disappointments. Have you been in the position of cutting off your own sense of excitement or anticipation because you’d rather not be let down if things don’t work out? Do you ever put a damper on someone else’s excitement so they won’t get too hyped up or sad if things don’t go their way?

Please create a LO about an experience you've had at curtailing your own, or someone else's anticipation to lower expectations and maybe relieve pain if it doesn't work out...new boyfriend? Job opportunity?

For the design twist, please push something on your page off the edge to show how you cut off the cycle of interest, excitement and joy...

May Challenge #2, Intuition or Premonition/Sparkly

Intuition: Do you believe in woman’s intuition? Have you ever felt that you could anticipate something before it came to be? Is there something magical in certain circumstances about what you feel just before something amazing, frightening or new happens? Has someone else ever had a premonition about you, and did it come to pass? Was it scary? Would you rather know about someone else’s intuition about you, or do you want to be free to make your own mistakes or successes?

Please create a LO about an advance-feeling or intuition or premonition you've had.

For the design twist, please use something sparkly - light or dark - glitter, stickles, bling, to demonstrate the magical quality, good or bad, of the intuition.

More later!

Love,
Rachel

Winner and Weekend Food for Thought

It's time for yesterday's winner! We'll do TWO giveaways on Monday.

Random.org says our winner is #3:

Sandi said...
My strength is the desire to always see things objectively, including myself, and to be willing to change.

Congratulations, Sandi! Thanks for playing...I have your address from your prior win. Keep playing everyone!

A thought for the weekend from our PEACE Inspiration Page:

He that would live in PEACE and at ease, must not speak all he knows nor judge all he sees. Benjamin Franklin

Human beings are naturally imperfect. I've learned through some recent difficulties with a close friend over expectations and misunderstandings that we don't always have the whole story. While it's also human nature to make meaning out of what we see, it pays to wait and try to understand things we see others do. Not everything is for publication, or for analysis. Some things are better left unsaid and uininterpreted, giving those we love the benefit of the doubt and the trust that they deserve.

What do you think?

If you'd like to dig deep and learn about yourself this month and explore what brings you peace, do check out the PEACE kit...just a few left - this one is going like hotcakes. Only 42.95 as the start to your exciting six-month subscription - what a way to explore your inner world.

No other club provides what we do - SFTIO’s industry-exclusive content will help you explore your inner world with a music playlist, deep journaling prompts, moving photos, inspiring quotes and meaningful monthly challenges. The only thing missing is YOU.

Wishful Winner and 'Three Wishes' Layout Challenge

We Have a Winner!

cindy H said...
I have been looking back at my childhood and always remembering that I wanted to travel and teach. Now that I have had the opportunity to travel to some of the places I dreamed about - travel is still high on my list. I hope to have more time to travel and an opportunity to teach k-6

Thanks for playing, Cindy! Email me at rachinla@aol.com and I'll help you out with that HOPE kit discount!

And check out our first Challenge, "Three Wishes", at Scrapbooking from the Inside Out for May:

Please create a layout about what three wishes you'd make if you found a lamp with a Genie in it. They can be light and fun-loving or deep and meaningful - just one caveat - you CAN'T wish for three more (or unlimited) wishes! Like with all wishes, be careful what you wish for...have you thought about the ramifications? For the design twist, please use some imagery, directly or indirectly, that implies magic...a genie bottle, smoke, wand, a flash, a nose wiggle or blink...

If you'd like to play along, come check out the Message Board and post your LO in our Gallery...as always, we'll have great prizes to share at the end of the month, and the love and admiration of a fantastic community of deep women...

It's Magic!

Love,

Rachel
