2011 - a brand new year - the first day of January. It marks a day that is full of dreams, resolutions, potential and looking forward. The time to make a fresh start is always now. Let's start by wishing everyone out there a Happy New Year full of blessings!
But wait! Before we start looking forward and jumping on all of our resolutions, let's take some time for reflection. What is reflection?
Well, it's our emotion for this month, for one thing. But what is it really? Is it your image in the mirror? Perhaps. What do you see in the mirror? Does it match your mind's eye? Is it clear? Is it blurry? Are you in a fun-house and do you see yourself in shapes and heights never imagined?
Is reflection something shiny? Do you see the reflection of the sun glinting off that piece of glass? Is the reflection in the mirror of the car's lights behind you blinding you to seeing something in front of you? Check out how your scrapbook gems reflect back the light!
How about this: reflection is a calm, lengthly, intent consideration. So, grab a cup of tea (or coffee, or hot cocoa), sit with me by the fire, and let's take some time to scrapbook our reflections... on our past... on our present... on our future.
