Wall of Fame

I'm big proponent of getting your scrapbook pages out of albums (or those piles waiting to go into albums). How about enjoying them while you go about your daily life?

This is my recently installed, and easily changeable wall of fame. The hardware and wires are from West Elm, but you could do this with stuff from the hardware store too.

Seriously, how great will your family feel about themselves when they see and read how much you care in real time? And for those of you pursuing the Inside Out approach, there's a great benefit to displaying your pages - you can remind yourself daily of your growth and of what matters most to you.

How do you display your pages?

Not Enough Time?

This month's theme, COMPASSION, is such an interesting one for me - being on the Message Board at Scrapbooking from the Inside Out and creating this month's content has really made me focus on how I treat myself as well as others.

Sometimes I worry that there isn't enough time to accomplish everything I want. I push myself pretty hard, often for the 'right' reasons - wanting to make a difference, touch people's hearts and give and receive love.

I am rethinking balance and how to feel as if things are moving forward without totally exhausting myself...and I think it starts with compassion. If a friend was as tired as I am, would I push her to stay up and do 'one more thing'? I don't think so. Something to mull over...

What do you do to treat yourself with compassion?

Wrap Yourself in the Wings of Compassion

In this season of love, Scrapbooking from the Inside Out invites you to explore the heart that beats in you and in all other beings and connect with your COMPASSION.

This very girly, pretty kit for February encompasses every shade of pink you can imagine, from soft and subtle to bold and daring. It includes a HUGE variety of paper styles, finishes and treatments - die cut, lacquered, transparency and sheer, from Pink Paislee, GCD, BG and Chatterbox. You’ll get beaded felt and sheer flowers, glittered wings, crepe paper ribbon and sequin trim. And there’s more - including emotion rub-ons, a Maya Road feeling ‘turn’, Jenni Bowlin journaling labels, thickers (of course) and even the almost good enough to eat Pink Paislee glitter Pixxie Stix.

The best thing about the kit? I think it’s SFTIO’s FIRST branded product – our Compassion ‘Starter Spots’, custom journaling tags designed by our very own Nancy Doren…they’re the perfect thing to get your emotions flowing and they’re the perfect match for the lovely colors and shapes in this kit.

February’s Compassion Kit is all about getting us in touch with kindness toward ourselves and others, as well as the larger world around us. We hope you’ll join us!
