Gaining Clarity: People use different strategies to find a path toward clarity when faced with confusion. Can you think of a time in your life when things looked cloudy but through your efforts became clear? What did you do to create that shift? Did you use therapy, meditation, prayer, journaling or some other device or activity to achieve freedom? Have you ever felt stuck in the mud and then experienced a release, seemingly without any action on your part? How do you account for that?

Your Vision of the Future: How clearly do you see what you dream of for your future? Do you have goals that you can get your mind around and visualize, or is it difficult for you to think ahead about what you want your future to look like? How has your vision for your future changed over time? How have your changing life circumstances shifted your perspective about the ever-elusive moving target of 'the future'?

The Mirror: When you look in the mirror, who do you see? Are you a warrior, vulnerable, sweet? Does it change based on your mood? Can you see the face of your mother or father in yours, and if so, does that make you feel good or bad? Do you ever look in a mirror and not recognize who you see? Is it your inner self or outer self that makes the biggest initial impression on you?

Someone Else's Eyes: Sometimes it takes the point of view of someone else to help you see clearly. How do the people in your life help you see what is possible for your life or clear away the cobwebs that obstruct your view? Do you find yourself in the position of being the 'eyes' of your friends and loved ones? Can you sometimes see things that they can't? How do you decide when and how to share your insight?

Rear View: I love the visual of a car's rear view mirror, where you can see things behind you. What has become clear about your past as you look back at your experiences that you didn't know at the time? Are there things you see in the mirror that you'd like to leave behind? What are they, and why?
